Dance Around the World 2009

Regular visitors to our stand each year are Caspar Cronk and Anne Leach organisers of the Dance Around the World event held every year at Cecil Sharp House in Camden, London. This years 9th Annual festival will be held on October 24th & 25th.

The festival which celebrates traditional cultural dance styles from all around the world is fast becoming a popular event with visitors from all points of the globe.

Anne commented "Performances and workshops run non-stop from 10.00am to 6.30pm on both days. Last years Sunday programme included four music workshops where participants were invited to try and learn a variety of dance tunes and rhythms". 

Cultural Music and Dance Workshops and Performances

Over 50 groups took part in last years event which also includes a series of non stop performances and music and dance workshops representing many cultures and countries.

Dance Partners Not Needed for Traditional Dance Workshops

Both Caspar and Anne are eagerly looking forward to preparing a fantastic line up for this years event including the popular 'Latin American Nite'.  No experience needed and no need to bring a partner to take part in the workshops and everyone is warmly welcomed.
